This tool doesn't detect a PDF's built-in form fields - it lets you place new text and a signature anywhere on the page, which works for both fillable and non-fillable (scanned/flattened) PDFs alike. Position your text box over the field you want to fill.
Not directly - this tool adds new elements on top of the page rather than modifying what's already printed there. If you need to cover something up first, use the Whiteout tool to draw an opaque box over it, then add your replacement text on top.
It's matched, not identical. Most PDFs embed only the exact glyphs they use rather than a reusable font file, so this tool can't extract and reuse the original font directly. Instead, it looks at your document and pre-selects the closest of six standard fonts (serif, sans-serif, or monospace) - you can change it per text box from the font dropdown that appears while editing.
Whiteout draws an opaque white box to cover something on the page. Shapes adds an outlined rectangle, circle, or line - useful for marking a checkbox or circling an answer. Draw lets you sketch freehand directly on the page, for a quick handwritten note or initial. All three work by click-and-drag, and can be moved, resized, or deleted afterward like any other item.
Open Images âž â Insert Signature, then either draw it with your mouse or finger, or upload a photo of your signature. For an uploaded photo, leave "Remove background" checked and the paper it was written on is automatically made transparent, so only the ink shows on the page.
