How to Download Your SSC GD Constable Admit Card
SSC GD is one of India's largest recruitment drives by sheer number of applicants, recruiting for CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB, ITBP, Assam Rifles, and Rifleman/Sepoy posts. The SSC releases the admit card (e-Admit Card) separately for each stage — written exam, PET/PST, and later stages. The download process is the same each time:
- Go to the official SSC website, ssc.nic.in
- Find the "Admit Card" link on the homepage, or go to your relevant SSC Regional Office's website (SSC GD is also filed through regional offices, and your admit card is usually hosted on your region's site — the link is always cross-posted from ssc.nic.in)
- Select the GD Constable notification and stage you're appearing for
- Log in using your registration number/roll number and date of birth or password, as instructed
- Download the PDF and save at least two copies — one on your phone, one printed
- Check every detail (name, photo, exam date, centre, reporting time) as soon as you download it — not the night before your exam
What Your Admit Card Will Show

Common Admit Card Issues — and What to Do
Photo or signature unclear
If your photo looks blurry, pixelated, or doesn't match what you uploaded, this is almost always a symptom of a photo that didn't meet the exact upload specification in the first place. Contact your SSC Regional Office's helpdesk immediately — don't wait until the exam date.
Name, category, or exam centre mismatch
Do not try to correct these yourself or attempt to edit the PDF. Reach out to the relevant SSC Regional Office through their official grievance/helpdesk channel as soon as you spot the error. Keep in mind that SSC GD Constable typically offers no correction window for the underlying application once it's finally submitted, so this admit card correction route is separate from — and more limited than — fixing errors in your original form.

Admit cards are typically released a short window before the exam date, and timing can vary by region and stage. If it isn't available yet, keep checking ssc.nic.in and your regional site directly — there is no way to "check status" faster through a third party.

SSC publishes results for each stage as a PDF list of roll numbers on ssc.nic.in, and releases individual status updates for candidates once a stage is fully evaluated. Given the scale of SSC GD — often the largest single recruitment drive in India by applicant volume — result PDFs can be large; there's no personalised "enter your roll number to see if you passed" tool from SSC directly for most stages, so you check your roll number against the published list.

- Open the result PDF for your specific exam and stage
- Search the document (Ctrl+F on desktop, or your PDF app's search on mobile) for your roll number
- If a status update is separately available, log in with your registration details to view it
